Leak Defense Setup

The highest ROI automation: detect leaks early and prevent expensive damage.

Do this first

Start with leak sensors in the top-risk spots: under sinks, water heater, washer, toilets.
Add one rule: instant phone alert on moisture detected (no fancy routines yet).
If you can: install an automatic shutoff valve for whole-home protection.
Test alerts monthly (a tiny cup of water is enough).
Keep it outage-aware: local alert options + battery backup when possible.
